My Work Showcase

Hello Readers!

This portfolio will document my progress as a tutor for the Rutgers Writing Center during the Fall 2021 semester. You will see various aspects of my tutoring methods and works throughout this portfolio.

As you scroll down, you will notice five sections containing various documents that will allow you to visualize my progress and growth as a tutor.

For the literacy narrative, you will learn how I learned English as my second language and how I learned how to read, write, and speak fluently. As for Session Notes, I showcase my various sessions with my tutees and what occurs during our tutoring sessions. For the Self-Reflection Troubleshooting Exercise, you will witness how I reflect back on my previous sessions and the importance of doing so. For the Source Evaluation, you will see what I've learned as a tutor and which tutoring style works for me the most. Lastly, for the Final Statement of Tutoring Philosophy, you will be able to perceive what kind of a tutor I am and what I've learned throughout the semester from this internship.

Hopefully, at the end of all of this, you will comprehend what defines me as a tutor today and what kind of a tutor I want to be in the future.

"Life will get hard, and you'll probably encounter a steep mountain while your back is up against the wall, unsure of what to do. Rather than giving up, keep struggling, especially when the finish line is right in front of you. It is better to regret now than to regret later."
